Principal changes
The hourly rate of packages A, B, C and Lièvre increases:

+ 20¢/h Monday through Wednesday (+$2/day)
+ 10 ¢/h Thursday through Sunday (+$1/day)

The Long Distance rates, per day and per week, remain unchanged except the cost of the first day, that increases $3.

The Workweek flat rate increases 40¢ to become $ 17,20 (40 km included) and 43 ¢/ additional km.

Paper bill
The cost of the paper bill will go from $1 to $2 as of the billing of May trips (in June). To avoid this fee, you can opt for the online e-bill by checking the box to that effect in the Personal Information section of RESERVauto. Also, to avoid unnecessary charges, an e-bill will be sent (instead of a paper bill) to everyone who has a balance of $2 or less, even if they had not opted for the e-bill.

Reservation or modification calling fees
The fee remains the same between 8 am and 7 pm but will increase from $1.50 to $2 in the evening. You can use RESERVauto or its mobile version to avoid this fee.

Subscribers to package A, B, C or Lièvre, cut your spending in half (or even more!) during the whole month of April when using Auto-mobile vehicles.

For all trips of 5 hours or less, you can use these vehicles at the basic rate of your package. A two hours minimum will however be billed.

It’s easy! The lowest fare will automatically be offered according to the number of kilometres travelled. There is nothing else to worry about!

To access the Auto-mobile service, you need to register your OPUS card in the Personal Information section of RESERVauto. An invitation explaining how the service works will be sent you by email within one business day.

Be sure to always bring your personal RFID key or the OPUS card that you previously registered in RÉSERVauto when using a vehicle.

We have started replacing the readers in the vehicles that are equipped with on-board computers with readers more sensitive to the OPUS card and we are taking this opportunity to gradually remove the RFID keys that we had provided in the meantime. Without your personal RFID key or OPUS card, you will not be able to access and use the reserved vehicle.

REMINDER: the OPUS cards deactivate the vehicle’s anti-theft device but not unlock the doors. To come.

How to keep a vehicle during your trip ?

Each time you turn off the car, a button appears on the screen giving you the option to keep the vehicle (conserver le véhicule). If your stop is only temporary and you would like to keep the vehicle, simply select that option. You will then be able to leave the vehicle knowing that another user cannot take it while you’re away. You will also avoid loosing the free minutes to which you are entitled after 32 minutes of continual use. Find out more

To end a trip correctly, keep an eye on the green light

At the end of the trip, when placing your OPUS card on the reader to lock the doors, it is very important that you keep an eye on the reader’s green light. It is this light that indicates that the trip has been ended correctly. If failure to do so, the costs will continue to apply... Find out more

Park the vehicle…but where?

When parking an Auto-mobile vehicle at the end of a trip, you must avoid zones with parking restrictions, even if you are allowed to park in these zones at the time of your return. Find out more

Fuelling credit

A time credit of 20 minutes is applied for every trip of an hour or less if it costs at least $20 (this is a modification, the previous amount was 15$). Find out more

You are a subscriber to the DUO auto+bus with the STM? Starting this month, a slight change will appear on your Communauto bill. The $3 discount that, until now, was applied on your Communauto monthly fee of $8 is now applied directly to your STM pass. Instead of seeing your Communauto monthly fee at $5 and your STM pass at regular fare, you can now see your monthly Communauto fee at $8 and the $3 discount on your STM pass.

This change has no impact on the price you pay monthly for your DUO auto+bus subscription
