Electric vehicles now available for more than one day
With spring finally here, what better time is there to try our 100% electric vehicles? To break the ice, there’s nothing easier! You simply have to go through a quick training in RESERVauto. A short video is included which will allow you to explore everything you need to know before leaving. It only takes a couple of minutes.
In a few days, we will remove all time restrictions for electric vehicle reservations. Until now, these vehicles were only available for short reservations. We will also remove the kilometer restriction for reservations of 12 hours or more. If you plan on charging the vehicle during your reservation, note that a complete charge takes 7 to 8 hours on a 240 volt outlet and up to 21 hours on a 120 volt outlet. In addition, verify before leaving that the charging cable (120 volt) is indeed in the trunk of the vehicle.

Take advantage of the Electric Circuit
Prepaid rechargeable cards are now available in Communauto’s electric vehicles.
The cards which allow Communauto members to charge the electric vehicles at Hydro-Québec’s Electric Circuit stations have now arrived! These cards have been put in the glove compartment of each electric vehicle.
With this card, you will be able to “fill up” (free of charge) the vehicle with clean and renewable energy to extend its range! Since they are prepaid cards and we cannot yet anticipate their use, it is possible that the card will be empty for a short period before we can refill it. We will monitor them daily in order to minimize the occurrence of this situation. However, if this does happen, please contact us by calling the reservation center. We will then be able to refill the card immediately.
The Electric Circuit is an initiative of the following partners: the St-Hubert Restaurants, RONA, METRO, the Agence métropolitaine de transport (AMT) and Hydro-Québec. Supplied with clean and renewable energy, the first 90 charging stations of the Electric Circuit will be available to the public in spring 2012.

Communauto’s biannual employee meeting
This spring, our meeting will take place on the 9th and 10th of May. During those two days, our administrative services will be exceptionally closed.
