CarShareHFX and Communauto, a winning combination

On January 31st, at its third anniversary celebration, CarShareHFX announced excellent results, consequence of a partnership established last year with Communauto.

This announcement is the basis for their development plan which will, in 2012, strive to increase Halifax’s fleet by at least 50%. This expansion is the result of a successful restructuring of the fees introduced last summer.

In 2011, the number of members of CarShareHFX increase by 60%, mainly in the second half of the year after the fees were drastically reduced. After six months the organisation is in better shape, with a larger fleet (+40%) and an increased usage rate (+73% average hourly rate to 9 hours per day, and +24% in the number of trip per month).
