Communauto is looking for subscribers to test the new reservation module RÉSERVAUTO for the iPhone. Are you passionate about mobile technology? Are you a web designer or developer, or just interested in the project? Submit your name to us before July 12 and let us know why you would be an ideal candidate.
If you are selected, you will be part of a privileged group of volunteers who will have exclusive access to a pre-release version of RÉSERVAUTO mobile for the iPhone. Jump on the train! VIA Rail offers 10% discount to Communauto subscribers
A new partnership between VIA Rail Canada and Communauto gives our subscribers a 10% discount on train tickets for trips within Canada, in any service class.
To take advantage of this offer, reserve your train ticket by booking through your Réservauto account, using the special reservation tool exclusive to Communauto subscribers. This tool is available by clicking on the VIA Rail logo found underneath the main menu.

50 new service points in Ottawa for Communauto subscribers
Thanks to a new partnership with Vrtucar, the carsharing organisation serving Ottawa, you can now take advantage of an additional 50 service points and 80 vehicles in the Ottawa-Gatineau region, at the usage rates of an equivalent package at Vrtucar.
You must be at least 23 years old to use Vrtucar vehicles. Also note that the majority of Vrtucar stations do not have key boxes. You must therefore always have your "e-fob" on hand when you use a vehicle. This will allow you to open the doors of the car to access the key, found inside the vehicle.

Communauto to offer all-electric Nissan LEAF to clients in 2011
On June 2, Communauto and Nissan announced an agreement created to integrate, along with the collaboration of Hydro Quebec, fifty LEAF all-electric vehicles to the Communauto fleet when the car will be available commercially in Canada, before the end of 2011. This program will represent the first and most important fleet of self-service electric vehicles in Canada, and one of the first projects of its kind in the world.
“By offering the all-electric Nissan LEAF next year, Communauto is reconfirming its environmental commitment to our more than 20,000 users,” said Benoît Robert, President of Communauto. “Our customers will soon be able to share the only real-world car with zero emissions and that brings together all the comfort, style and practicality that they are looking for.”
